Hi, I'm Nico

I make art with computers. I write code most of the time.

A child of 1984, I'm numerically drawn to explore the limits of perception, the recursive nature of human understanding, and the absurdity of our dystopian realities.

My practice tends to investigate the fabric of reality through the digital—where virtual becomes tangible and perceived reality reveals its subjective construct.

Loops, GIF art, and the domain of rhythmic motion give me a music-infused language for questioning the endless unfolding of causality, the perpetual cycle of storytelling.

I enjoy reflecting on the inherent abstraction in all things, diving into the unreal perfection of geometry and the infinity of computational experiments.

I love to get lost in the artifacts of technological synthesis—the limits of the medium itself. Each pixel, projection, and optical layer forms a thread of our perception- ready to be untangled, ready to glitch.

My path to digital art was anything but linear. After studying law and business, I worked as a strategy consultant before co-founding a music tech startup. It was there that I discovered my passion for coding as I learned to build a company, and eventually helped grow a web software organization between the US and France.

Over the last 10 years, I also went through a transformative personal journey. Blessed with two universe-expanding children and guided by my enlightening wife, I learned to care more deeply about my being—my heart, resonance, and essence.

This journey was what I needed to fully embrace the path of creativity, per se—through art.

Thank you for stopping by.
